Jeremy I. Hager (of Counsel), joined ALIMONTI LAW OFFICES, P.C., of Counsel in April 2004. Mr. Hager began the sole practitioner Hager Law Offices in New York City in February 2004 and, for the better part of a decade, has counseled clients in the aviation and insurance industries. Specializing in civil and commercial litigation with an emphasis on aviation, Mr. Hager frequently represents domestic and international air carriers, charter companies, flight schools, fixed-base operators, private pilots and mechanics in matters ranging from property damage, auto, premises and general liability claims to complex contractual disputes, subrogation, products liability and wrongful death actions. Mr. Hager also regularly advises clients in connection with insurance issues, real estate and business transactions and, analysis, negotiation and drafting of commercial and residential lease agreements and licenses, contracts and insurance policy forms. Prior to establishing his own practice, Mr. Hager was an associate at the law firm Biedermann, Hoenig, Massamillo & Ruff, P.C., where he handled all aspects of civil and commercial litigation matters. Mr. Hager was also previously an associate with Renzulli & Rutherford, LLP, where he assisted in handling State and Federal civil litigation matters—many aviation-related. Mr. Hager is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Within the ABA, he serves on the Aviation and Space Law Committee as well as the Solo and Small Firms Committee, and is a member of the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section. Mr. Hager authored “A Survey of Recent Judicial Treatment of Claims for Fear of Impending Death,” ABA TIPS Aviation and Space Law Committee Newsletter, Spring 2004. Mr. Hager also authored and argued the successful defense brief in Imling v. Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Andrews Aviation Lit. Rptr., Vol. 18, Iss. 7 (Sept. 6, 2000) (appeal dismissed by 734 N.Y.S.2d 163 (N.Y.A.D. 1st Dep’t. 2001), leave to appeal denied by 97 N.Y.2d 613 (2002)), as well as in, Casey v. Alleghany Teledyne, Inc., et. al., 30 Conn. L. Rptr. 240 (Aug 23, 2001). Mr. Hager earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Clark University in 1994, and received his Juris Doctor from the Western New England School of Law in May, 1997. He is admitted to the New York and Connecticut State Bars as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. |
