Joy M. PosnerJoy M. Posner first worked with us on a part-time basis while in law school at ST. JOHN’S UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW. Ms. Posner joined ALIMONTI LAW OFFICES, P.C., on November 1, 2002 as a full-time associate.

Ms. Posner was an editor of the St. John’s Journal of Legal Commentary and authored “Temporary Workers Allowed to Join the Unions: A Critical Analysis of the Impact of the M.B. Sturgis Decision,” 16 ST. JOHN’S J. LEGAL COMMENT. 489 (2002). Ms. Posner also co-authored “Aviation Product Liability Update: Case-Law Outline” which was presented at the 2002 ABA SECTION OF LITIGATION AVIATION LITIGATION SEMINAR held in New York for continuing legal education credits. She recently co-authored “Who’s in Charge Here Anyway? Ethical Issues when Representing an Insured.” Her recent publications include co-authored Who’s in Charge Here Anyway? Ethical Issues When Representing an Insured, THE BRIEF, VOL 36, NO. 2 (WINTER 2007) and Hurdles Along The Way: Ethical Issues between Plaintiff and Defense Counsel, which was presented for CLE credits at the 2007 ABA SECTION OF LITIGATION AVIATION LITIGATION SEMINAR.

Ms. Posner earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, from THE JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY in 1999 and received her Juris Doctor from ST. JOHN’S in May, 2002. Ms. Posner is admitted to the practice of law in the states of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut and to the federal bars of Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
